| Page 1 2 " The Pencil Sketch " From The Author.. " This tutorial shows you a quick and easy way to produce realistic looking pencil sketches. It goes beyond the simple artistic effects filter and allows you several degrees of control over the final image. The tutorial can be completed using PSP version 6.x, however, the steps as they are layed out in this tutorial apply to version 7.x . " Pencil Sketch " Easy Photo Edges " This tut shows you how to use a Mask to give your graphic a " photo like look ", that will enhance the smaller graphics used on your web site ( or sent out by Email ). As the Author say's, once you start using them, you can't stop. Photo Like Edges " Create Your Own Logo " From The Author ( this person has a great sense of humor ) " It's fair to say the primary reason most new owners buy CorelDRAW is to create logos and business cards. In my humble opinion, this is a little like using an atom bomb to swat a fly! " With that said, everyone who has a business of any kind, or has their own web site, want's to have their own personalized Logo. Create A Logo " Age My Photo " In the not to distance past, my wife and I went to a costume party, dressed up in period clothing. We got some neat photos, but I wanted to make them neater. I went to this site, and by the time I was done with the tut, the photo's looked older than I am, pretty neat. Age A Photo " Animation Tutorial's " Ignore those tiny little broken pic's on this site, they're little star's that aren't loading for some reason. The tutorial links here, will teach you how to animate anything your mind can conceive, all very simple to execute ( if you pay attention ). Easy Animation " Transparent Images " From the Author.." Problems with transparent GIFs are probably one of the most asked questions in the paint shop pro newsgroup. The first thing to consider is; do you want or need a transparent gif at all? ".. The .gif files they refer to is how a Transparent image is saved as in PSP ( dont worry about it, no problem ). Transparent image's and Text, are often over used, but when their used right, they DO make an impression. See Thru Images " The Clone Tool " We all know what the Clone tool is, theres a couple pigs and sheep running around out there somewhere, that somebody used it on..( nah )..But it's the same idea. You use this tool to duplicate any part ( or all ) of an image. Why would you want to do this? Well, lets say you were doing something artsy to your image, and you had to keep doing it over and over again, to get it right. Using this tool, thats no longer necessary. Clone Tool " Seamless Tile's " From the Author.." There are all sorts of abstract tile generators available, some for free and some not. But you don't need another application. You've already got something right in Paint Shop Pro that enables you to create interesting seamless tiles: the Pattern Effect. "..Seamless tile's are normally needed when you create your own background pattern, and you need to make it " tile " so it fits your entire web page background, no matter what size it is. Or, you want to make a large graphic and, use the tile pattern you just made. Seamless Tiles " The Color Replacer Tool " From the Author.." The Color Replacer tool is used to replace one color with another one, that the user picks. This tool works best on images that do not contain gradients, or antialiasing, but has solid color areas. It is excellent for clip art images. " Replace That Color " Airbrushing For Perspective " From the Author.." The Airbrush tool offers the ability to freehand paint, using solid colors, textures, patterns, and gradients. It offers the same settings as the regular Paint Brush however, being able to achieve a sprayed effect is a benefit of the Airbrush tool. This tool is particularity useful in creating shading effects to painted images, as well as making quick art. In this tutorial we will focus on giving a flat object some shape and then using that shape as part of a design. " Depth From The Airbrush " Cropping A Photo " From the Author.." We all know that Paint Shop Pro has a convenient Cropping Tool which you can use to selectively crop anyone or anything out of a photograph. But, how do you crop an image and maintain the Aspect ratio of the riginal photograph? By eyeball? Use a Ruler? Here's a quick and easy way to crop your images and maintain the same aspect ratio. Crop A Photo " Flood Fill Using A Pattern " OK, you've got this graphic you just created, and you don't want to have just a plain, single color background for it. What you do have is this really neat pattern, that came with PSP, and would look great. How do you use it to create that bee-u-ta-fill background. Or maybe you want the pattern on the graphic first, then create your graphic over the top of it..here's how. Pattern Fill " Mound Button's " You'll have to see one at this site to know what they are ( look like 3D ). This style button looks great on a web page. Most folk's use them for either a link button, or on an Interface..Either way, they're nice. Mound Button " Bling Text " I haven't a clue why the Author called it that, but it's a beautiful effect. When you're done, your text looks like it filled with Diamond's...Gorgeous finished product. Bling Text " Pixel Stretch " Simple as this, you're going to have to see it to understand just what it is. It's another slick approach to getting a neat effect from your work..Trust me on this, go look at it. Stretch Those Pixel's " Adding Text To An Image " From The Author.."Adding text to an image is a pretty basic, yet misunderstood feature of Paint Shop Pro. There are a few options in the text entry box that are a little confusing to a new user.
